MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been affected by his international impact. Una Lady Como Tu, his smash hit of 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. His debut album ADN came out through La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was A Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. He appeared later in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming hit track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was first released in 2023. Turizo came from a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is a must. When he was young, he taught to play the saxophone, piano and guitar. His initial choice of career was to become a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study to sing by working with a Cuban teacher. In the end, finding out that he was blessed with talents for singing, changed the trajectory of his life.
